In 2014 The idea of CarZapp was created to bring back the wholesale trade between car dealers. Before the internet was used to advertise and sell cars, the wholesale trade thrived, and was an important part of the motor vehicle ecosystem. Today less cars are traded between dealers, and more cars are traded direct to consumer, and now consumer to consumer. This creates additional costs in both online advertising and stock holding. The result is that car dealers are paying online channels exorbitant amounts, and are keeping cars for too long in their inventory, waiting for a full retail price.
CarZapp was created to bring back the wholesale trade between dealers, and create a real-time trading platform for Car Dealers to trade cars between each other. CarZapp helps build networks between Car Dealers and provide features for running Tenders and Auctions from the App. There are many other features that align with running a dealership and maintaining inventory from a mobile device. The App interfaces to Dealer Management Systems (DMS ) that provide real-time updates of stock holding and prices.
